For whatever reason, this has been one of the best butterfly seasons ever! Plenty of Queens, Swallowtails, Skippers, Monarchs, and Sulphurs. But the ones that really get me excited are the "first evers". Like this Long-tailed Skipper that I spotted yesterday.

I apologize for the multiple photos. Aren't you glad I didn't post all 27 of them??? Rolling on the floor laughing
Now I have check-marks next to TWO elusive skippers sighted this summer, including the White-stripe Skipper.
