I've had a similar thing happen in France with my refrigeration-rot irises, Leslie. Many lost their main fan but have side increases, a few have started growing a new fan from the central spot as well. I was hoping that the others will follow suit!
I fly back to France on Wednesday, so it will be interesting to see how they have fared. I hope your Guise and Awake decide to get better.
