I'm not sure, but maybe Adenium arabicum makes a thick "fat belly" seedling. As I understand, this seedling is descended from crossings of Thai Socotranum and Adenium arabicum. The Thai Soco was explained to me as being descended from crosses that include wild type Adenium obesum subspecies socotranum, a species that gets very thick and large.
