I would get them planted or heeled in asap and cover them with some leaves if you have any.
I live about an hour directly west of you, and they are calling for several days of rain coming up, beginning tomorrow.
Just so you know, a clump/ ball with soil still attached will fare much better than bare roots in freezing temps. As long
as you get them covered, it will be better than trying to keep them indoors with your brown thumb. Good Luck!
