Something that I noticed in the pictures are that a few of the leaves look split. Aspidistras do not typically do that. Also, Aspidistras are not succulents, as someone mentioned. Curiously, they are in the same family as Asparagus.
I'd look at Kentia palm (Howea Forsteriana).. see if the pictures match yours.. Look at the base, the shape of the plant, and the leaves.. I think the palm has more stem than Aspidistra, and shorter leaves. Also the splitting of the leaf as it matures. I believe yours still has some juvenile form.
Do I see a seed on top of the soil? If so, I'd be pretty certain it was a palm.
Aspidisteras have a leaf-life sheath at the base of the stem. I'm thinking on palms it would be more fibrous.
I may have the variety of palm wrong, but I'm thinking that's what it is. I've got many Aspidistras, and your plant doesn't quite fit, to my eye anyway.
