Pamela, it's hard to answer your questions without knowing more. How much water did you give each time, I think you said previously that you give them measured amounts? How much fertilizer did you give? Why were they repotted (if that was the plant in question)? Did you water them well before repotting? Too much fertilizer can definitely kill plants but we have no idea how much you gave.
