In one of the other threads (The thread "I Moved And Started All Over With My Garden - Progression!" in Garden Photos forum) there's been a bit of discussion about lilies and the identity of 'Corsica' came up. Both Nora and myself have lilies purchased as 'Corsica' which clearly aren't. Nora's are the only ones in the database for this cultivar.

HemNorth said:@pepper23 - Thanks for the link to the Canadian Lily website of the Valley K Lily Ranch, in Alberta. It has made me long for some of my favourites again. If only I could thwart the mole who has built a network of tunnels under our property, through which the mice and voles have discovered and decimated dozens of favourite Lilies and Hemerocallis.

On another note, on this website I found the Lily Corsica to be quite different from what I've known. For about 25 years I've had this Lily, bought from a reputable company, whose name I can't recall, and now I'm wondering who I have!
I put up three pictures on this Database, which I guess I'll have to remove. I even googled it, and the few images that came up were pink, and then there were my three orangey ones. I'm embarrassed Sad Has anyone seen a Corsica like this, or know of the name of this Lily? Thanks in advance for any help.

Australis said:If it's any consolation, Nora, the lily I bought as 'Corsica' most definitely isn't either... it doesn't even look as nice as the photo on the packaging (which isn't 'Corsica' either, but I knew that going in...)

My not-Corsica:

And the packaging:

Finally, the description of 'Corsica' from the registry:
Inside moderate purplish pink (54D) with orange buff blotches in the throat and a moderate red (181C)
centre; outside light purplish pink (62C), tepal-edges light pink (50D); spots and veins moderate red in the throat; nectaries moderate red; pollen dark reddish orange (175C). Fls 170 mm wide; tepals 80 × 40 mm. Lvs scattered, 180 × 20 mm, pale green. Stems 1-1.25 m, dark green, with 6-20 fls. Late June to July.

Any thoughts on possible identities for either Nora's or mine?
