I grow certain strains of Ipomoea nil and other slow growing annual species of morning glory indoors as houseplants. They do remarkably well in a sunny window, make flowers all winter long. The currently flowering morning glory I have is Ipomoea cardiophylla, which looks like a miniature Heavenly Blue Ipomoea tricolor.
