I have a love hate thing with Christmas lights outside. But you've seen the idea of turning a tomato cage over, winding lights around it, and making a lighted tree cone shape? Well, I did that on the two big pots that flank the front door, and they look surprisingly awesome for a first attempt. Other than those, all I have are strings laid out the perimeter of the flower bed and sidewalk. Relieved and happy to have it done.
