Lestv said:Yours is definitely missing the white rim around the falls, and is much darker than other pics I have looked up. I wish there was a picture of Affaire's style arms to compare with yours.

There is one thing they both have in common - the rumpled falls. The pics of Affaire in our database also have crumpled falls. I wonder if you have a seedling from Affaire......

Oooh I was seriously contemplating on destroying it after having grown it for several years and becoming more convinced that its not 'Affaire' it would be awesome to know whether the real Affaire have PBF or not.

And I just couldn't bring myself to destroy it as it's ugly as well as unusually pretty lol Blinking And is a very good increaser with the obvious PBF.

Yes I agree with you entirely Lestv as I think my one is darker and lacks the faded rim around its falls as well.
I kept toying with the idea of Beachgirl being the common ancestor? Shrug!

I know irises are very resilient...but I'm just not sure how long it would take for seedlings to get to where you are, from NZ? Confused I've not shipped overseas and while I know I cant bring plants through, due to customs, I'm just not sure about shipping to overseas destinations? Confused
