Terri! Cannot blame Mike for being so retermined not to "get" the hint. Putting lights up is hard work, but talking them down is worse, no fun at all. I love looking at other people's lights, hehe!
The houses on E Juniper Ave in Sterling VA put on a spectacular Christmas light show each year. I used to go there each year when I lived in VA. If anybody happens to be in the area, it's worth stopping by for a quick tour.

Sorry to hear about the squirrel problem, Rick. Maybe you can sprinkle some hot pepper powder in the area? Not sure what can be done to keep squirrels away. I accepted defeat after they ate 599 of my 600 newly planted crocus bulbs. I only got one flower the following spring.
