My epies have almost finished for the year but there are still a few good uns to go, I hope. Open over the last few days were the ones below, most of them were first time bloomers for me, so that was exciting!
I think this is Buttercup, still planted in a big pot with lots of others I bought off EBay, very hard to read what name is written on a cutting 3 years down the track. No fragrance at all on this one.
Out of the same pot and looking very similar, but I think this is Crenatum, FINALLY. It had a lovely strong fragrance when it first opened which had all but disappeared by Day 2. Pity. Again I cannot see the label on the plant, lousy eyesight doesn't help any!
Out of a different big pot of EBay cuttings was this little beauty, a lovely thing. I do hope I can eventually read the name on this one, it's a lovely shape and colour. I will definitely be propagating this one.
This is I think ULANA Lavender Delight (an unregistered Australian hybrid bred by Tony Hanson), though the label only says Lavender Delight. I thought it was going to open red because the bud was a deep red but thankfully it seems true to it's label, a very nice pink.
This is another little beauty I bought from Steve, called Letty May. Still a small plant but it has flowered three years in a row. Pretty.
The label on this large plant said Peach Magic but I have been assured it's not that. Still a pretty colour and it flowers very nicely with lots of buds.
And last but not least is Slightly Sassy, again from Steve, This is another fragrant epi, lovely! I felt very blessed to get two fragrant blooms in one day.
