Hi, I am going to attempt to post the history of a group of obseums from seed to bloom. Here are the seeds, and seedlings. I bought seeds from Anucha, a monk in Thailand. The seeds have both parents double and triple flowers, so this should be interesting! I started with ?? seeds, didn't count, and 160some sprouted.

On Ebay, the only seller that I will buy from is Mr. Ko, his name there is Adenium_ko. He is great, shows both parents. On the left side of the page, you can 'specify seller'

Anucha is on facebook, and has lots of seeds for sale. They're from all double flower parents, but mixed. He's Anucha Hiransirilak (Anucha)

Here they are laid out in a kitty litter tray. They'd soaked for three hours in water that had been boiled and COOLED to warm, not more than 90 degrees f. I covered them with about 1/8 inch of 'medium', a mix of perlite and peatmoss, and watered them gently and well. The mix in the tray is about three inches deep.

And three days later, the first sprouts! Click the photo to see them better.

Until they are much bigger, they should not dry out, they will lose their tiny, microscopic feeder roots.

Some people 'squirt' the embryo out of the seed coat, but I stopped doing that. Once the seeds have sprouted, the seed coat should be coaxed off, I use two long deli sandwich tooth picks, one to brace the plant, and the other to push off the coat. Also, it's important to do this while they coat is wet, I spray lightly with plain water to keep the coats wet and softened. There is a sort of peanut paper on the tiny plants, also, and that must be pulled gently off the plant.

I'm good at doing tedious little tasks!

I'll take photos with my next seeds, to illustrate all this coat pulling. Sorry I missed this step!
