I have seen those Tree Philodendron (Philodendron bipinnatifidum) grow so large to eat a house. The trunk looks like a giant snake and some say they rap around a house. I know it's false and due to growing conditions when there is a light source and not able to more about after it's grown but don't argue with the locals. Myself I love the cult Philodendron 'Golden Xanadu'. Same blood line but stays much smaller.
