Corpus Christi has issued statements to all residents and businesses to discontinue use of tap water citywide until further notice.
"Only bottled water should be used for all drinking, beverage and food preparation, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, or clothes, washing hands, and bathing until further notice. Boiling, freezing, filtering, adding chlorine, or other disinfectants, or letting the water stand will not make the water safe"
Can anyone guess where the issue lies....? The industrial district! Yay oil refineries! Not only generating and outpouring tons of gases into the environment, but now they have indefinitely contaminated our water supply! Yay!
You should see the lines and lines of people out at the stores. School is canceled, businesses closed...it's like the water apocalypse down here. Stores are getting emergency shipments of water shipped down from San Antonio and Houston. They just stated on the news that they are sending police forces out to Sam's Club, Walmarts, Walgreens, CVS', etc. because things are getting a little crazy. Meanwhile, I'm at work wondering what on Earth I am going to have for dinner...
