Because the thieves had dug up daylilies and lots of other plants, I did not want them recognising and digging up LOIS HALL too. I had no tools with me to dig it up so I broke off as much of the top of the fan as I could. I must have got some crown because I planted the top bit and it grew.
I also did it with some others, but some of my unknowns have yet to bloom so don't know if they worked out too.
