Yes, I like edamame too. My husband wouldn't eat it if he was starving to death, so I don't make it for myself that often.

How did you cook dried chick peas Rosie? Is there some classic Italian way for roasted snacks? Or are you talking using in soups, etc?

This talk of chick peas motivated me to make some tonight. We did a little Christmas decorating on this dark, dreary, nasty day, so looking for an easy dinner. As a side I made this:
Sauteed a whole onion, sliced thin, in olive oil until it was caramelized and sweet and soft. Added sliced sweet red pepper and 4 small cloves of garlic. Added a can of drained, rinsed chick peas, southwest seasoning, and stirred until hot. It got a Thumbs up
