As a long time seed-aholic there seems to be no end to ways I can justify spending on seeds. Here is my favorite: Packet price/# of seeds, X % germination rate x retail value of each seedling. Works every time in my favor. It was a critical calculation when I had to justify (to myself cause DH doesn't begrudge me) $118.00 just for delphinium seeds from New Zealand. That batch I winter sowed and harvested over a period of four years. Priceless!
