I'm going to join your juncos Dirt, but I'm going to beat you on the temp. When I checked, it said 1F. That's with windchill. It's now warmed up to 17, and due to go down to 6 tonight.
I don't put feeders out during what I now call chipmunk season because I had such problems with them nesting up against the foundation of my home--I don't want to encourage them to settle back in. But during winter, when our feathered friends need a bit of extra food and the munkies are snug in their homes, I keep a feeder filled.
Today I had a wonderful tizzy of tufted titmouses, a couple of content cardinals, and a display of dark-eyed juncos. The cardinals are very shy and fly away at the slightest sign of movement inside my glass door, and the titmouses refused to hold still! But the juncos were quieter and even hunkered down and fluffed up while waiting their turns so I got some okay pictures.
One day, maybe I'll have a decent camera, either on my phone or not but for now, these are the best I can do. Hope you enjoy them!
