Remember I took 2 cuttings of pentas? All I could get had flower buds on the tips, and they've struggled along and bloomed, but look feeble.

One of my coleus plants is light green on the stems, but the stems look brownish at the base, like there's a creeping crud of some kind, vascular clogging thing, isn't looking real happy, so I'm considering taking small tip cuttings and tossing the base.. or tossing the whole thing.
Plant it and they will come.
