I've never had many Japanese beetles until a couple years ago. They attacked my yard, seemingly all at once, and nearly devastated a few of my favorite shrubs and green beans. I started manually picking them off into a can of soapy water but their kin kept coming. Next time I'll leave the soapy grave can(s) of beetle buddies in the yard as a warning. Thanks for the tip!
