@critterologist I mixed 1 part Elmer's and one part water and gave both sides several coats. Then I gave it a coat of Martha Stewart pearl craft paint. I haven't had any problems and I have several necklaces which I have worn lots of times, and believe me, I'm a real klutz when it comes to breaking things.
