There is a lot of good advice all through the book. For example on page 409 there is a chapter called "Save Yourself".

@AgaveGirl1, I'll bet your Aunt Ida will recognize some of the tips and hints and recipes. As we found out, sometimes the old ways really can save us money and a lot of hard work from your sharing her soap recipe. I tip my hat to you.

For me, it's a joy to read this book without worrying about damaging the book. My great grandmother tucked keepsake items into her cookbook.
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.
