my personal record for plumeria .. from seed to flower is 9 months.. in zone 7...
ne... yes.. plenty of growth additives..and foods... yes...
the real spur though is... bottom heat to the pot/roots..
this plant was grown right on the hot rubber roof membrane... with air temperatures of say 90*F.. the roof temps are about 140*F,,, wth air temperatures of 98*F.. the roof it sat on was maybe 165*F.. the temperatures were recorded by my cordon bleu cooking thermometer..
the smallish pot.. sitting right on the hot roof.. and in front of a light reflectve glass.. it had cycling from wet to quite dry in a few hours.. also a growth spur..
not all seeds will do as well... but all can dramatically speeded up by this heavy bottom heat to the roots..
try growing on your tar driveway... or other such heat generator you might have...
