I accidentally lost some lemon seeds down my sink a while ago and just recently i found a little sprout poking out the top of my drain.

I have no gardening experience what so ever but i would like to save the little guy. I was hoping to get some tips as to what kind of soil to pot him in, what conditions i need to keep the sprout in, and what kind of plant food i need to feed it if any.

I've planted it right next to my moms pepper plant, Which is the only potted plant in the house currently, just enough to cover the seed for safe keeping until tomorrow when i can run to the store.

The only damage to the plant was that a bit of the top of the sprout was snipped off in my first attempt to remove it from the sink

The roots are in tact and the transfer from sink to soil was only about two minutes. Any info is appreciated!!
