Rosie, put a small amount of oil in a pan, I use grapeseed and heat, thinly slice up some onion, throw it in the pan, dump the bag of coleslaw mix in , contains red, green cabbage, and carrots, add sugar, I don't measure, maybe 3 or 4 tbsps, salt, pepper, add a few splashes of white wine vinegar, put a lid on for a few minutes to soften up the mix, stir everything up, put lid back on, cook another few minutes, and toss again, cook more if you like, or you can brown it if you want to but I don't usually, may try it though, didn't have much time last night. Sometimes I add other spices, a little mustard, cayenne, parsley, DH is not a fan of well cooked cabbage but he will happily eat it this way. You can add everything to suit your taste.
