Julia, spring is a very good time. After things warm up and dry out a bit. Not during the heavy rain time.

I new you would come around to the heuffelii Tim, once you found out how wonderful they are.
You already have 'Bros' don't you?
Year round solid jade green 'Jade' and bonus of a lovely rosette shape

Lovely red coloring in the summer

And of course the gold ones like 'Goldbug', 'Xanthoheuff', 'Lemon Sky' and 'Orange Tip'. And what about all the new gold/yellow ones from Europe, the Cheese series? I would love to have all of them.

Great color and form in 'Limelight'.

And the small ones:

It seems like the gold/yellow ones stay on the small side also. At least for me.

Then there are the heuffs that have a velvety texture. I will have to go out and see which ones have that attribute, I can't remember right now. I know I have seedlings from 'Musketeer' that have velvety texture.
