I just found this site. I wish I had seen it last month. I just finished a Fairy Garden display for the Home and Garden Show in my area and I was looking for any ideas. I use many very low growing plants in my fairy gardens. I have seen someone is going to use Thalictrum kiusianum I love this plant and nothing I do seems to bother it. If you are looking for a miniature campanula try C. cochleariifolia I use the cultivar 'Bavaria White' It produces small white bell shaped flowers and each year like all campanulas it spreads. It only grows about 4". Also I love Globularia cordifolia a low ground hugging foliage plant with purple ball shaped flower heads in spring. Most of the plants I try are alpine plants they are hardy and can take cold spells. All of them need good drainage to survive winter but that seems to be the only thing they need. One more that is very cute Thalictrum thalictroides 'Schoaff's Double Pink'
