Mac,
I love horseradish and I grow rhubarb. I'm the only one who likes it till I make Rhubarb Custard Pie...
My Grandma had a large patch in her garden and I always wish I had got a piece from her. I don't have room and am happy buying it when I can find the coarse ground, but someone who can make a good homemade jar is priceless!
I love ranks of firewood! There's something about a tree. Wow, how neat is that to make lumber!!
Laughing, I haven't seem many snakes for many years. I like them.

Best pie you'll ever eat!

Rhubarb Custard Pie

1 c. Milk
4 t. Flour
2 T. Butter
1/4 t. Salt
3 Egg yolks
2 c. Rhubarb
3/4 c. Sugar

Scald the milk. Add the butter & let melt.
Slightly beat the egg yolks.
When cool, stir the milk and butter into the egg. Add the sugar, flour & salt.
Spread the rhubarb in an 8'' pie pan lined with crust. Pour the custard over top.

Bake 425 degrees for 20 minutes, then, bake 325 degrees for 25 minutes, or until custard is set.
Cool and refrigerate before eating.

Oh YUM Anna!
You're much closer to me than Ginny, just saying...

Susan,
Out walking! That is awesome!!
Collecting memories is so cool!

Cindy,
LOVED that! Especially the thunder!! I remember one that was just hand clapping. It was really neat too.

Dave,
Hugs for your bad news.

Jmorth,
Your collection is absolutely awesome! Just beautiful!

Ginny,
Before the house was sold, I took all the rocks from my childhood neighbor. He had a small rock garden. Now I do.

David,
I'l have to walk over to my neighbor's. I wondered the other day if her witch hazel has bloomed yet.

Gene,
Laughing over the noisier traffic!
Hmm, a map of nothing?

I started to pick up sticks yesterday and the new neighbor to the south was out. She's a talker, lol! I did get three bucketfuls of downed sticks picked up. By the time I get to mow I'll be doing more of the same first.

This rock is one I got from the neighbor. It stays in the house. It has indents for my fingers and I think it was a grinding stone.
