This is little MDB Aaah. It is a gorgeous little iris that is blue/lavender with chartreuse rims and lines. For a tiny iris it has quite a few ruffles.

I have been looking for this little guy for quite a few years. It was introduced in 2009 by George Sutton. I tried to track it down in vain including contacting George and asking for his help. He had lost the iris in the move and could not locate another and I had begun to think of it as a lost cultivar. I kept whining and contacting people, making a pest of myself I am sure, and then last summer a great lady that cares for the gardens at the Will Rogers Museum in OK sent me rhizomes. Hurray! Hurray!

They have been slowly opening all week and today before dawn made their full appearance.

Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
