I understand that with things like cameras & binoculars in high humidity areas or drastic temp. changes (A/C to outside) you're supposed to bring them outside in a case or such (plastic baggies will do) & let them adjust a little while so the moisture doesn't accumulate inside & do damage. So this idea would serve that purpose as well as keeping it handy for your photo ops.
