Welcome! @mmmintu

Yes, Home Depot is notoriously bad about discounting plants. In the event that they do mark things down, they only stick around for a day or two, depending on when the plant rep comes in. Once the rep comes in and the store gets credit for them, the plants have to be destroyed. It is a huge waste.

Now, Lowe's, on the other hand..... Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Because of the weather, Lowe's has already started discounting plants. Over the passed couple of days, I've picked up 30 Aquilegia 'Little Lanters' and 24 wooly thyme, at $1.00 each! I also picked up 2 Carolina Jessamine, gallon pot, for $8.00 each.

When I was there today, they had all kinds of pansies, dianthus, sedums and more, all marked down. Sometimes, if you can time it right, the garden person is out there with their price gun. Then it's every plant for itself! Last spring, I filled up a cart with stuff that has just been marked down. I looked at what was being marked down, picked out some nice ones, and had them marked down while in my cart. It was great!
