I am thinking that I should introduce myself.
I am a retired builder from Cairns in North Queensland, Australia. I have been a workaholic all my life and in the last 15 years have has more than my share of health problems. The usual suspects of Diabeties, and heart problems the worst offenders.
To cut a long story short, we had to abandon our plans to become Grey Nomads in our retirement and have needed to stay reasonably close to our doctors and hospital. I stll remained physically active until my last heart attack in November 2009 but after that have been suffering quite badly with Angina so it's a case of short bursts and rest periods from now on.
About 3 years ago my daughter gave me one of her Adenium babies followed by another one 6 months or so later. About two years ago she gave me a pot with 61 Adenium seedlings about 3 inches high. That was the end of me. I was an addict from there on.
Since then I have planted roughly 80 to 90 lots of seed with about 10 in each lot. At last count I had over 650 plants of varying sizes, from seedlings to flowering.
Since Ko, from Taiwan, My supplier started selling seeds this year I have bought roughly 50 lots of seed for future planting.
I must say that I think my plants have been my saviour, without them who knows. I don't think I would have handled my retirement very well.
Well, That's me, I look forward to reading eveyone's posts and to continue learning about these beautiful plants
