I've had Crimson Pirate for quite a while, not sure when I bought it. It has grown very well for me and I've had to split it a number of times now. It seems to be a bud builder for me and blooms a very long time often having blooms late into September and more than once into October. It sets pods like crazy and I'm always breaking them off. I've not measured but I think it's shorter than 30" for me too.
