I'm an unreserved Palatine fan. Their roses have all done well for me - in their first season achieving sizes that most roses from other suppliers do not in their second or third years. The temptation I have to resist this year is to buy one of each.
I don't know how Palatine stores them for the winter, but I have never seen bare root roses look better on arrival or take off faster after good weather starts. I ordered in March and received the roses in early April. I worried that first week of April was too late to plant bare root roses here, but I also watered every day. And they really took off.

Today I'm thinking I should buy another South Africa. Or maybe six - one for each lovely bloom it's now showing - the only roses in my garden right now except for some on Hermosa.
Success with Folklore from Palatine has tempted me to try a few more HT's: Alpine Sunset, Ace of Hearts, Berolina, Liebeszauber, Charles de Gaulle, Paradise and Moonstone.
I'm trying to decide whether I have room for a "purple rose" area in which case Geschwindt's Schoenste, would be planted near Lavender Lassie and the last three HT's listed above would be nearby.
Having trouble resisting Ascot, Pomponella Fairy Tale, and Elegant Fairy Tale, though I'm not sure where I'd squeeze them into the garden. I love the photos of Carmella Fairy Tale, but am not sure I know how to work it into the garden.
Silver artemisia look like they need the company of roses with dark red flowers and I am trying to choose between Europeana and Lavaglut. My one Europeana, believed to be dead, appears to be recovering.
I really need to find a place for Queen Elizabeth so that there is a rose with DW's name on growing in the garden. And then there's a list of climbers that I'm looking at: Jasmina, Harlekin, Pele, Rosarium Utersen, Rosanna, Joseph's Coat, and Dublin Bay.
