I would love to get Chestine Gowdy for the Alaska Botanical Garden here. They are building a heritage display of pre-1950 plants. We have a few back to the 1700's even. CG was hybridized in 1913. Please and thank you.
Hermione is from 1932
OH! Fragrans was introduced from China and named by Banks (dir. of Kew Gardens, London) in 1805. Oh PLEASE COULD I HAVE THAT ONE FOR ABG?? I would take a pass on the others for that one.
We have Early Windchimes which is a hybrid with anomala in its parentage coming this fall from Hidden Springs. It is a rare primary hybrid between Paeonia veitchii and Paeonia emodi. Very excited about that. Also Echo a rare hybrid from Dr. Saunders.
the following plants in my (humble) garden are showing pips: Border Charm, Petite Renee, Pink Hawaiin Coral, Early Scout, Coral Sunset. My tree peony Shimane Cho Juraku (third summer in the garden but a five year old plant) did well over winter and has pips showing - no leaves yet. Also one more that I think is a tree but for some reason I didn't put a label on it. Weird. Nor can I figure it out from my database. Double weird.
