I just went on slug patrol in the semp garden. It's surprisingly lively out there at this time of night. Pill bugs and sow bugs, the occasional earthworm, millipedes, and some fast-moving black beetles which I believe to be predatory. It's like a party out there.
I found no slugs but I did find three leatherjackets, which is good but it makes me wonder how many more lurk below the surface.

And a couple of these guys... good guy or bad guy?
