Salvia indica is not an easy species for most people. It likes dry and warm, and blooms very early in the year (February/March for us) - conditions most locations do not have. Think Southern California, the Southwest. For us it grows to almost 2 x 2 feet, with the flowers going to 3 feet plus. They are short lived, probably acting like a biennial in most places with wet winters. Here it is reliably perennial - if kept warm and dry in the winter.
