What you want to do is encourage the grass to grow bigger and thicker to choke out the weeds. I have a coworker who uses Milorganite and Revive on his place. He has 3 acres and lives out in the suburban country (surrounded by huge mansions, acreage, normal lots and little homes all mixed together) and he swears by the combo. One helps the soil and the other helps the grass.
