Cindy, we have had SO much rain this week!! It has been so crazy............. most of Arkansas is flooded or being warned of pending floods.

I had my first bloom in my garden on Mesmerizer yesterday - I just obtained it last fall from Maryotts, but bless it's heart, it went thru several extremely hard downpours yesterday................. this picture was taken late yesterday evening after it had been rained on all day. Not too bad considering what it went thru - looking forward to seeing the other blooms. The other pic was a photo of my yard when I got home yesterday evening. We have lived here 13 years and have extremely sandy soil and I have NEVER seen water flowing like this. The ground is saturated from several days of rain, and we got about 1.5" of rain in less than an hour so it was covering the yard the ditches were overflowing (which I have never seen here) and it was halfway across the road..... thankfully, once the rain stopped it was off the road within the hour - not sure how long, as we had a tree fall across a power line and we made a trip into town to get some supper.....when we came back the road was clear and the ditches half empty. I know DLs love water - but this is a bit extreme....... Wish I could stock some of this up for the summer months!
