with Rose. As your plants get used to your localized micro-climates, you should see fewer issues. I have Orange Marmalade in front of a shed wall. It gets full sun for most of the day. The first couple of years, there was a lot of scorching. Last year, not so much. It also helps if you keep them well watered. Hostas love water, just not wet feet. Keeping them hydrated will reduce the chances of scorching.
