Do you mean 'Yachiyo-Tsubaki'? It doesn't look like Yachiyo-Tsubaki, the petals of Yachiyo-Tsubaki are smooth, don't have the ruffles as in your flowers. And Tachiyo-Tsubaki can grow tall.

mantisOH said:I have had it for about 7 years. It was from an order to Van Bourgondien and was supposed to be Kamada Fuji. You know how many of the bulb companies just substitute without telling you. The blooms are huge. It has never been a really tall plant, but is not in an optimal location. I am wondering if it is Tachiyo-Tsubaki. Does anyone grow that one? My pic colors are quite accurate.
