I wonder why standing cypress doesn't thrive in your garden? I was afraid it wouldn't do well in my garden because I have them in clay soil that's rarely amended. I wasn't expecting them to bloom either because I started the seeds last fall and I thought they needed at least a year to bloom.

I've been pulling up Mexican hat seedlings and transplanting them to other parts of my garden. I'm trying to growth the solid yellow variety but so far the seedlings are tiny.
