I got a Julia Childs 2 years ago (NARR prize), thought it seemed more citrus than licorice, but it was a nice scent and a pretty rose. It spent its first year in a big container, planted it in the ground last year, so it should be ready to give a show this year. Unfortunately, I thought at the time it was a climber, so it's in the wrong spot, and I'm not yet sure where it could go instead. I'd be proud for it to grow in memory of your Nana. I know we keep "meaning to" get together, so if you'd like it I'll pot it up again and pass it along to you when we do!

I recently saw 'Honey Perfume' on a top ten fragrant rose list, however (and Julia Childs didn't make the list).
We're all learners, doers, teachers.
