Deborah, I use Picasa to edit images from the camera, and that software has a text feature to write on them if I want. To paste photo-on-photo, I take the background image and load it into a blank Publisher document. Then I can overlay other images on to it and move them around as I want. The trick is to remember to save the Publisher document even though I may have what I 'think' is a finished JPG image. Been caught out more than once when I had to dig up and/or rearrange a bed and all I had was the static, saved JPG. Starting all over is a pain in the anatomy.
