I HAVE that book Juli... must be time for a refresher read now that I actually have some perennnials to tend! For the longest time all I did was kill perennials. I guess I just finally figured out what will grow here in this heat!
Monarchs are here! I was beginning to despair, as I do every year, that we wouldn't have any. Then, when I just about can't stand it anymore we start seeing some in late August or September. Have 4 in Chrysalides in my office now, sent about 8 cats to my DD's school, and a couple to a neighbor. Then hopefully they'll all be released into lovely gardens, having been pampered away from all the other evil insects out there
Started doing this a couple years ago as an interesting thing for my daughter... but I think its all me now!
