If you'd like the same pretty oxidized look of the "aqua" paint the statue a reddish brown (Burnt Sienna) first. Then a couple of days later, paint it the "aqua" and a couple of days later take a very fine grit sandpaper and rub off some of the aqua. The brown will show through in places to give it the pretty old look, but concrete won't show through anymore.

You can use acrylic patio paint or ANY outdoor paint. They sell small sizes as samples at the paint stores.


Would this work with other surfaces such as wood, plastic, and metal?
