Last year was my second year with Awesome Artist. I planted a DF in June 2015 and didn't get any scapes (though I did on some other cultivars that I planted at the same time). I planted it on the North side of my porch...so it only gets partial sun, mostly in the morning. It bloomed in 2016, had 2 scapes, and I got about 12 blooms per scape. It was a decent pod setter. The colors do change day by day as Theresa said...some days lighter, other days darker. I'm not sure if that is tied to weather changes or not, but I kind of like the variety. Regardless of slight color changes, she has a pretty face and always opens nicely. I plan on keeping her for a while.
