I love Fancy Face. It was my first diploid and one I hope to use in hybridizing. I have some FF+Stargate Portal seeds I set over at my in-laws farm that I am looking forward to growing.

I got a few fans of FF in 2015 from my in-laws daylily farm. I planted it in front of my porch, facing east, where it gets sun until midday. It bloomed the first year. In 2016, it bloomed well. I had 4 fans, but they are smaller fans. I had 2 scapes and each had around 12 buds. All of the blooms are uniform, and open nicely. It has a really pretty face...though I haven't gotten any of the blue-purple eye you see in the pictures, mine is more of a redder-purple in the eye.

I didn't have diploids last year to set pods on it, but it did set pods at my in-laws like I said. Though, it seemed a bit finicky about pod setting and was much better as a pollen parent. I am keeping this beauty for a long time.
