This is sited below my deck and gets a full blast of late afternoon sun, but is shaded until about noon. I have found it best to give the Shasta daisies a 'Chelsea chop' in early June to control the inevitable flopping. This helps. The crocosmia is also a leaner and I just control that by snipping back anything that starts growing sideways. The gaillardia gave up the ghost after one season and is now replaced with a couple mountain bluets (used to be Centaurea, recently renamed to I forget what). The bluish purple of the bluets are a nice contrast to the bright pop of red, yellow and white.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
